BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
Interested Bidders may obtain a bid packet at the Village of Webster Office, 28 West Main
Street, Webster NY 14580. Or via Email Request to [email protected].
A. Owner will receive sealed bids until the bid time and date at the location indicated below.
Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:

B. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
C. Mail in bids are to be sent to the attention of Heather Halstead. All mail in bids should be clearly
marked “WWTP Grit Screw Conveyor”.
D. Bid Security
1. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty which shall not be less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid amount. The guaranty may be a certified check, bank draft, standard form Irrevocable Letter of Credit, or a Bid Bond in the form attached. The Bid Bond shall be secured by a guaranty or surety company authorized to do business in the State of New York as a surety. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty.
Certified check or bank draft must be payable to the order of "Village of Webster". Cash deposits
will not be accepted. The bid guaranty shall insure the execution of the Agreement and the
furnishing of the surety bond or bonds and insurance by the successful Bidder, all as required
by the Contract Documents.
2. Bid guaranties in the form of certified check, bank draft or letter of credit will be returned to
bidders other than the successful bidder within ten (10) days after the contract is awarded. The
bid guaranty of the successful bidder will be returned upon execution of the Contract and
submission of required bonds and insurances.
3. Pursuant to General Municipal Law, Section 105, Bidder may not withdraw its bid within forty-five (45) days after the bid opening.
E. Owner’s Rights
Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in connection with any bid.
